Cooking Instructions
- 1
Take the pastry sheet out of the freezer and cut it into 8 pieces while it is still frozen.
- 2
Let the pastry return to room temperature while preheating the oven to 200°C.
- 3
When the oven is ready, pierce the pastry evenly with a fork. Bake it in the oven for 5 minutes at 200°C then 10 minutes at 180°C.
- 4
While it is baking, melt the chocolate over a double boiler.
- 5
Let the pies cool down once they have baked.
- 6
Spread lots of melted chocolate on top of the pies.
- 7
Decorate to finish! Try making your own original designs with the decorations and chocolate pen.
- 8
It's fine to just layer on the chocolate so it drips down instead of adding the decorations!

I made these chocolate pies with leftover ingredients from Valentine's Day, and I gave them as small gifts to a teacher who helped us a lot this term.Once you finish the Step 6, bake them as soon as possible. Otherwise they won't puff up nicely. The pies shrink when baked, so cut them slightly larger. For 10~12 pies. Recipe by Rikota cookpad.japan -

Putting a lot of chocolate inside is really yummy. If using a pre-made pie crust, start from Step 7. Recipe by Shioaji cookpad.japan -

It's almost Valentines Day. I tried making a chocolate pie version, using ever-easy frozen puff pastry. It's good with plain bananas on top too, but I added the extra step of caramelizing the banana.※Use dark chocolate.※Please note that there are times when the pies stay closed beautifully, or times when some of the filling escapes, like in the top photo, even though you closed them firmly, in Step 9.※Adjust the amount of sugar according to the ripeness of the bananas.
