Comforting Kabocha and Bacon Hot Salad

I used dressing for the seasoning and found it works well for stir-fried dishes. That's how I made this super-easy and appetizing hot salad.
Try using kabocha squash that's sweet and tasty.
The sweet and salty flavor is really addictive.
You can also top with nuts such as almonds and walnuts. Recipe by putimiko

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Chop the kabocha into bite-sized pieces and boil or microwave until soft.
- 2
Mince the garlic, slice the onion thinly, and chop the bacon into 2cm pieces.
- 3
Heat some olive oil in a frying pan and fry the garlic until it releases aroma. Add the bacon and cook over a low heat until the bacon releases some grease.
- 4
Add onion and fry until soft. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and black pepper.
- 5
Add kabocha and stir-fry. Add the GABAN dressing and mix thoroughly. I listed 1 tablespoon, but adjust the amount to your liking.
- 6
Transfer onto a plate and enjoy. Top with parsely if you wish.

Chunky Bacon and Cucumber Salad Chunky Bacon and Cucumber Salad
This is a recipe that uses up a lot of cucumbers. I wanted to make a western style salad that went well with pasta, so I combined some ingredients I usually have on hand. The sautéed bacon and olive oil becomes the dressing. It goes best with the cucumber if you think it's a bit too salty. The cucumber loses its raw flavor, and it becomes a very tasty salad. Great as a drinking appetizer! For 2 servings. Because I had 2 daikon radishes...The fat from the bacon will solidify if you chill too much in the refrigerator, so I recommend to keep it at room temperature.I divided the process into many steps so it would be easy to understand. When you are stir-frying the bacon at Step 6 with a lid and it's not browning evenly, use the lid as a shield and stir the bacon around occasionally. No need to be too diligent though.Use as much ponzu sauce and lemon juice as you like! For 2 to 4 servings. Recipe by santababy cookpad.japan -
