I've always been making this dessert to cool myself off when it starts to get hot. This is definitely a summertime

You container can be any size, but I used a bento box-sized container this time.
When you add the mixed fruit during Step 4, it's better to add it while the mixture is still a bit warm - otherwise, it will start hardening too quickly. That's all you have to watch out for. Recipe by Pu-tankurikuri

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 4 gramsPowdered kanten
  2. 50 mlWater
  3. 340 mlMilk
  4. 100 gramsSugar
  5. 1 canCanned mixed fruit

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Prepare all of your ingredients by measuring them. You can use stick kanten, but the powdered type is easier to dissolve, so I used that.

  2. 2

Put the powdered kanten, water, and milk into a pot. Turn on the heat to medium, and dissolve the agar.

  3. 3

It's hard to see in the picture, but when the mixture starts to boil, turn off the heat. Add sugar and dissolve. Leave it until cooled.

  4. 4

Once the mixture from Step 3 has cooled down a bit, pour it into a container or a bento box. Add the mixed fruit. When the surface of the mixture starts to harden, place it in the fridge.

  5. 5

Chill it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, cut it into your preferred size and enjoy.
