Fruit Packed Milk Kanten Jelly

I've always been making this dessert to cool myself off when it starts to get hot. This is definitely a summertime
You container can be any size, but I used a bento box-sized container this time.
When you add the mixed fruit during Step 4, it's better to add it while the mixture is still a bit warm - otherwise, it will start hardening too quickly. That's all you have to watch out for. Recipe by Pu-tankurikuri

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare all of your ingredients by measuring them. You can use stick kanten, but the powdered type is easier to dissolve, so I used that.
- 2
Put the powdered kanten, water, and milk into a pot. Turn on the heat to medium, and dissolve the agar.
- 3
It's hard to see in the picture, but when the mixture starts to boil, turn off the heat. Add sugar and dissolve. Leave it until cooled.
- 4
Once the mixture from Step 3 has cooled down a bit, pour it into a container or a bento box. Add the mixed fruit. When the surface of the mixture starts to harden, place it in the fridge.
- 5
Chill it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, cut it into your preferred size and enjoy.

Easy! Kanten Jelly Easy! Kanten Jelly
Constipation during pregnancy was an issue for me, so a friend of mine who is a dietitian suggested I try eating food with agar agar in it. That's why I started to make this jelly, and continue to eat it even now. When I started, I ate two cups a day--one in the morning, one at night--and had 1 bowel movement every 5 days, but now I have one every one to two days. My child also likes this jelly, and since it's inexpensive to make, I find it a very handy recipe.Be sure to heat agar agar for at least 3 minutes! In order to benefit from the active ingredient of agar agar (i.e. alleviate constipation), this point is essential. (Or at least that is what my friend, who is a dietitian, told me.) The amount of water in the recipe for jelly on the package of the agar agar is very minimal, and results in a firm jelly, so I adjusted the amount of water to make it more soft-set. Wine Kanten Jelly Wine Kanten Jelly
Kanten is similar to Agar Agar but its texture is different. The advantage of using Kanten and Agar as gelling agent is that it can set liquid with the fruit such as fresh Pineapple, Kiwi Fruit or Mango. Those fruits break down the protein found in gelatine and prevent the jelly from setting. This doesn’t happen to Kanten and Agar jelly because they are mostly fibre not protein. Also once set, Kanten and Agar jelly won’t melt at normal temperature. Hiroko Liston -

I've been making milk jelly with this ratio. This is a note to myself.Do not boil the milk as it will lose flavor. Warm to lukewarm. When chilled, the sugar taste less sweet so season the mixture on the sweeter side.If you're not using molds or cutting the jello, you can add an additional 100 ml of milk to make it looser.
