Chop bottle gourd in squares.wash thoroughly.if it is tender keep seeds also or remove seeds.

Heat Pan adds oil to it, once hot add mustard seeds allow it to splutter. add asafoetida and turmeric powder. soak moong dal in water for a half-hour before you start the recipe.Add soaked moong dal in oil.

Saute add chopped bottle gourd pieces.mix well cook for five minutes. Add red chilli powder, Salt, Goda masala, jaggary to it. Add little water mix well and cook for ten more minutes. Check once.cook if required or squeeze lemon juice, sprinkle coriander leaves and served hot with chapati or you can enjoy with curd rice.
