Galette has a origin from France and generally is a sweet dish. I gave the traditional dish with a twist by making it savoury instead of sweet. I used Maggi for making this dish.

In a bowl rub butter and flour till it becomes crumbly,then add salt,sugar,and water.cling wrap the dough and keep in chiller for half an hour.

Unwrap the dough and place it on a piece of parchment paper.Roll the dough into a 12 inch round and about1/8 inch thick.slide the parchment and the dough onto a baking sheet and remove the top layer of parchment.

Add oil in a pan.Put onions,green chillies,sauté fo 2 mins,add carrots, capsicum and sauté for 5 mins.Then add tomatoes,salt,red chilli powder,haldi powder,maggi masala magic.put the filling in the centre of the galette,leaving a 2 inch border around the edge.fold the rim of the dough up and over the edge of the filling, overlapping the dough as you goaround and pleating the dough.

Garnish with grated cheese, top with tomato,olives and capsicum.bake at 200 degrees for 30- 35 minutes.

Serve hot.
