I wanted to try to make something fashionable using edamame. This is a simple dish but it takes some time to remove the thin skins around the beans and to mash them, so this is aimed for those who have the time.

Step 1) You can probably use a food processor. You can use whatever method you want to crush them. Even use a knife to smash the beans.

Step 4) Enjoy with sauce.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 500 gramswith pods Edamame (frozen)
  2. 1 tbspSesame oil
  3. 1Egg
  4. 1 tbspWhite flour
  5. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  6. 2 tbspMayonnaise
  7. 1 dashWasabi

Steps

  1. 1

    Thaw the edamame and remove from the pods. Mash with a masher. Also remove the thin membrane around the beans.

  2. 2

    Combine Step 1 with the sesame oil, egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Divide into 4 portions.

  3. 3

    Heat sesame oil in a frying pan. Use a spoon to scoop out Step 2 and form the rounded shape. Lightly pan-fry both sides until browned.

  4. 4

    Combine the wasabi and the mayonnaise to use a sauce for Step 3.
