Mix besan with water and make a thick batter by adding salt,haldi and keep aside.At the time of frying add soda.

Boil potatoes, smash it and add all masalas in it and mix it properly. Take a pan add mustard seed,hing,curry leaves and add to potato mixture and mix it well add lots of fresh coriander and mix it well,your batata vada mixer is ready

Heat a pan and add oil for frying. Make a small ball of potato and dip into the mixture of besan and deep fry them in a hot oil.Fry all the batata vada and serve them hot with laal lasun chutney and garam chai and enjoy.

For red lasun chutney,
Roast 5 to 6 garlic, 1 tsp sesame seed, dry red chilli,salt and blend it in mixer.
