Fatteh in Arabic means "crushed" or crumbs. Fried, crunchy pita bread is topped with warm chickpeas and creamy yogurt .The dish must be served immediately to experience the crunchy pita and creamy yogurt.

Ingredients

  • 3_4pita breads cut into wedges
  • 1_3/4 cups chick peas (canned or boiled) strained and rinsed
  • 1 cupyogurt
  • 3_4,cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cupOlive oil
  • 1 cupMayonnaise
  • 1 tspor acc to taste
  • 1 tspBlack pepper powder
  • 1/2 tspcummin
  • 1/3 cuppine nuts toasted
  • Chopped Parslay or cilantro or fresh dhania
  • 2 tbsptahini paste
  • 1 cuptomatoes cubed
  • 1 cupPomegranate

  1. 1

    First grind garlic with olive oil

    In a fry pan add 1tsp olive oil and toast pita/khaboz bread which are cut in small pieces before.

    Make them crispy on low flame than take them out.

    Take chickpeas from can and rinse them

    Whisk, yogurt, salt, Mayonnaise, black pepper powder, tahini /lemon juice and gradually add oilve oil garlic paste and mix well with whisk.

    Take a deep serving glass dish, first spread crispy bread, than chickpeas, tomatoes, Parslay or green onions and dhania

    Lastly top it with pomegranate and toasted pine nuts
