Garbanzo bean chocolate cake is popular at my workplace, so I came up with a recipe using ingredients that are relatively easy to get at a supermarket.

All you have to do is mix and bake.

Ingredients

10 servings
  1. 500 grams☆ Garbanzo beans (boiled until tender, or canned)
  2. 350 grams☆ Dark chocolate (melted in a double boiler)
  3. 70 gramsAlmond flour
  4. 150 gramsSugar
  5. 4☆ Eggs (large)
  6. 1 tspBaking powder
  7. 200 gramsRum-soaked raisins
  8. 100 gramsShredded coconut

Cooking Instructions

    Combine the ☆ ingredients and blend them in a food processor (or blender or hand mixer).

  2. 2

    Once the ☆ ingredients are evenly blended, briskly stir in the remaining ingredients.

    Pour the batter into a cake pan greased with oil.

  4. 4

    Bake for 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 ℃.

    When the cake cools to the touch, transfer to a lidded container to moisten.

    I like to chill it before serving. They're also nice served with powdered sugar.
