Simmered Flounder Simmered Flounder
I had some inexpensive flounder in the freezer, so I simmered it.I usually make this without measuring but this time I measured while cooking.Cooking fish with soft flesh in water and sake helps the proteins prevent the fish from falling apart since it sets the protein (collagen). It's a bit troublesome, but be sure to add the seasonings separately! The fish will absorb the flavours more once it cools, so take into consideration the time to cool and reheat time when preparing. Beef Simmered in Red Wine Beef Simmered in Red Wine
This recipe is like a homemade meat sauce made with big chunks of meat. It is not too rich so it will not sit heavy in the stomach. It looks fancy, but it actually easy to make. Simmering for 3 hours makes the meat tender. Normally I don't add it, but I add 1 teaspoon of soup stock granule when I want the taste to be more rich. You can also use fettuccine instead of potatoes (If it is for 2 servings, use 4 to 5 fettuccine. Boil it in another pan and then mix with the sauce) (To note for myself: Crystel 20cm). Simmered Soybeans Simmered Soybeans
I learned this delicious cooked soybean recipe from my mother. Since I wanted this to be healthy, I didn't sauté the ingredients, but if you want a richer flavor, you should try sautéing everything in sesame oil first. In my house, we almost always sauté everything in sesame oil when making stews or kinpira. For Lotus Root Kinpira. After it has finished cooking, let it sit for a night to really let the flavors meld. It will taste better. If making the dashi stock is too much trouble, you can use water and instant dashi granules. You don't have to blanch the konnyaku to get rid of the astringent taste. Adjust the amount of soy sauce and sugar to taste. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -

Easy Simmered Flounder Easy Simmered Flounder
My father goes fishing often, so I learned how to cook many kinds of fish and this is one of them. I've learnt small tips that aren't even on cookbooks as I made many mistakes.Make sure you add the fish after the cooking liquid comes to a boil. It is cooked quickly with a relatively small amount of cooking liquid using the convection created by the otoshibuta. Don't flip over the fish as it will fall apart. The side of the fish that will be facing up when you serve it will be the side that is facing up when you cook. Do not reduce the cooking liquid too much with the fish in it. You won't mess up.
