Stir-Fried Squid Tentacles with Holy Basil (Tender and Juicy)
We have a method to share on how to keep squid meat tender and juicy without shrinking or releasing too much water when stir-frying.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Clean and cut the squid into pieces. Bring water to a boil and blanch the squid, then set aside. ** Do not cut the pieces too small as they will shrink. ** Blanching helps prevent the squid from releasing water when stir-frying and keeps it tender.
- 2
Heat a pan over high heat, add oil, and stir-fry the chili and garlic until fragrant.
- 3
Add the blanched squid and seasonings. Stir everything together and adjust the taste as desired. If it gets too dry, add water.
- 4
Add the holy basil leaves, mix well, turn off the heat, and serve on a plate.
