Rinse the komatsuna and chop into bite-sized pieces.

Fry the sliced garlic in sesame oil. Add the sliced red chili pepper.

Add komatsuna and drizzle with sake. Cover and steam. Once the komatsuna is tender, season with salt and pepper. Lightly stir.
