Classic Flapjacks

Gooey flapjacks that are really quite addictive.
These were the flapjacks we made when I was a child and the recipe is from an old Be-Ro cookbook.
Pretty sure you could reduce the sugar and/ or syrup content as they are incredibly sweet.

Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 180 and line/ grease a baking tin - a 20cm-ish square one works fine.
- 2
Melt the butter, sugar and syrup on a low heat, stirring until dissolved. Take off the heat.
- 3
Mix the oats and flour into the syrup mix.
- 4
Press the mixture into the tin. Bake until golden brown -for about 15-20 mins. It may still be bubbling! That settles down after a minute or two.
- 5
Leave to cool slightly before marking into bars. Enjoy 😋
