This simple recipe is so delicious and can be stored for travelling for 2 to 3 days if made with only curd. And that too when combined with winter special methi.. adds all the more taste & nutrition.
Steps
- 1
Heat oil in a pan. As the oil gets hot, add washed and finely chopped methi leaves. Roast the leaves for some time.
This special step will enhance the taste and texture of thepla. - 2
Now add this roasted methi to wheat flour in a big bowl.
- 3
Add curd, sesame seeds, chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt, and mix all the ingredients together nicely.
- 4
Now add little by little water to make a soft dough. (It should be softer than chapati dough)
- 5
Keep it for rest for 10 minutes. Now make small-sized balls out of it.
- 6
Heat up a Tawa, roll the thepla dough thinner than chapati.
- 7
Roast the thepla with oil or ghee and don't make it crispy. Roast it soft.
- 8
Theplas are ready to serve with achaar, green chili, sukhi potato bhaji, curd, chundo, jam, etc..
