Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmoong daal(soaked into water for 2 hours)
  2. 1/2 cupDesi ghee
  3. 1 tbspsemolina
  4. 1 tbspgram flour
  5. 1/4 cupmawa
  6. 1cup.milk
  7. 2green cardamom
  8. 1 cupsugar
  9. 1/2 cupwater
  10. as requiredSome chopped almonds

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a wok take water add cardamom and sugar.bring it a boil on high flame.when it started boiling and sugar has dissolved turn the flame medium and boil it for 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat and keep aside. Take soaked moong dal. Strain the water and slightly coarsely grind the dal in grinding jar.

    Take a heavy bottom kadhai. Add ghee when it becomes hot turn the flame low add semolina and gram flour and roast them together for a minute.

    Add moong dal paste and cooked it on low flame for 6-7 minutes or till the color has changed and aromatic.keep stirring. Add milk and cook again for 2-3minutes.

    Now add prepared sugar syrup.mix well and stirring.when it started thick add mawa and cook till the dal mixture has combined well,it's colour has changed and the ghee ooz out

    Add chopped almonds mix and turn off the flame. Delicious halwa is ready.enjoy it
