This is a Hyderabadi simple and an easy dish that's enjoyed at meals. It means tempered Curd in simple terms. A perfect one to relish with our everyday main meals. It goes very well with any dry Curry.
And it is an excellent alternative option to have besides Daal and other routine one's for meals. It's a nice variation. And it goes well with any dry Sabzi and is absolutely healthy as well.
It's quickly made without any complicated ingredients and tastes best with homemade thick and creamy Curd. Do not make it watery. Add only a little of water. Otherwise it will not be so good.
Watery Dahi tadka does not make any sense. So always use less of water. Keep it thick and creamy.
Also add a pinch of Turmeric powder as well if desired. Otherwise it's just okay.
Do not add hot tempering directly to the beaten Curd. Wait for it to cool down a bit and then add to it. Otherwise it gets to curdle up and does not taste good at all. Even the look will not be upto the mark.
That's it guys. All said and done.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
