If you have seen my post Thali then you would have seen that there is a dhal on the tray, here is the recipe that I used, any left overs can be blended smooth add more tock of Coconut mil and you have a lovely soup

Add all your dry spices to the pan and fry until aromatic careful not to burn

Add your onion and garlic and cook slowly until they are light golden again do not burn
- 3
Add the tomatoes and lentils

Coat in the spice mix
- 5
Add water
- 6
Bring to the boil then simmer stirring occasionally
- 7
After 30 mins the lentils should now be soft to the bite mash some to give you a smooth texture with some bite

Garnish with chopped chilli and fresh tomato
