Steps

In the beginning add food color in chicken and deep fry all pieces.

Set aside when golden brown in color.

On the other hand add salt, whole spices,green chillies in water and bring it to boil. Then add soaked rice in boiled water and cook till 3/4 done and drain the rice. Set a side.

Now we will prepare gravy. For this heat the oil add onion fry till golden brown.

Then add fried chicken, ginger garlic paste, biryani masala, salt, crushed coriander seed, red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Now add tomatoes and cook till tomatoes tenderize. Then add whisked yogurt in it mix well and let it cook till oil separates.

Now it's time to assemble rice and gravy. Add rice layer then gravy then on top again spread rice. You can also add steamed or boiled potatoes in biryani. I don't like potatoes in biryani that's why I skipped.

Add yellow food color in kewra essence and drizzle it on biryani. Put it on low flame for dam for 10 to 15 minutes.

Serve with any raita.
