Ingredients

  1. 1 tbspghee
  2. 5cashews (broken)
  3. 1 tbspraisins
  4. 3/4 cupvermicelli / seviyan
  5. 4 cupmiilk
  6. 1/4 cupsugar
  7. 1/4 tspcardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly, in a tawa heat 1 tbsp ghee and roast broken cashews and raisins. Roast till they turn golden brown. Keep aside.

    In the same ghee, roast vermicelli on low to medium flame for 5 minutes.

    Roast till the seviyan turn golden brown. Keep aside.

  4. 4

    In a large kadai heat 4 cup milk and get to boil and stirring occasionally.

    Add roasted vermicelli and mix well. Boil for 10 minutes or till seviyan softens.

  6. 6

    Now, add sugar and mix well, add more sugar depending on the sweetness you are looking for.

    Boil for 5 minutes till kheer thickens.

    Additionally, add roasted cashews, raisins and cardamom powder, mix well.

  9. 9

    Finally, serve seviyan kheer chilled or hot garnished with few nuts.
