Wash and soak chana dal for 1/2 hr.

Pressure cook for 2 whisles.

Dissolve Jaggery in very little water.

Boil Jaggery until it becomes slightly thick. Slightly Mash cooked chana dal.add to the Jaggery and cook on slow flame.

Once it comes to thick pudding consistency switch off the flame.

Fry dry coconut and cashews in ghee and mix with Jaggery, chana dal. Add Cardamom powder mix well.

Hayagreeva Maadi is ready to serve.
