Ingredients

  • 1pork loin, I used my char sui pork loin recipe
    Char Sui Pork Loin (my way)
  • 1/4of cabbage, shredded
  • 4 cupsfresh spinach
  • 2, 4" pieces of fresh ginger
  • 10 cupschicken broth
  • 1 tablespoongarlic powder
  • 1 tablespoonsonion powder
  • 1 teaspooncayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoonsesame oil
  • 1/4 cupsoy sauce
  • 1/4 cupsesame rice wine vinegar
  • 1 packagechow mein noodles or 2 packages of udon
  • 6soft boiled eggs, halved

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare pork loin day before cooking soup. Cook it though an hour before starting broth. Also cook eggs before starting broth.

  2. 2

    Bring broth with ginger and spices to a simmer.

  3. 3

    Let broth to simmer for 1 hour. Remove ginger pieces. Add cabbage and spinach 20 minutes before broth is ready. Add noodles 3 minutes before broth is ready.

  4. 4

    Serve up soup with noodles and cabbage. Thinly slice pork and add a few slices on top. Slice egg in half. Use 1 egg per serving.
