Adadiya is a traditional Kathiawadi winter sweet.Frankly speaking it is a lost recipe. Traditionally it contains ingredients which give warmth to our body . It is made with whole urad dal,ghee ,sugar and nuts.Urad dal is very nutritious,full of protein.My son loves it a lot.

Adadiya is a traditional Kathiawadi winter sweet.Frankly speaking it is a lost recipe. Traditionally it contains ingredients which give warmth to our body . It is made with whole urad dal,ghee ,sugar and nuts.Urad dal is very nutritious,full of protein.My son loves it a lot.
Steps

Grind urad dal and sieve it.Mix milk and ghee(25 ml)Rub it with.your hands.

Heat ghee in a heavy bottom karahi,add urad dal mixture and fry on low to medium heat until light brown.

For the syrup,boil sugar and water.Keep on stirring until one string consistency.

Add grated Mawa into dal,gond and mix.Switch off the gas.Add dry fruits,dry ginger powder.

Leave it for 2-3 min.then.add sugar syrup into it.Mix it well.Make small laddu out of this dal mixture.Your healthy Adadiya is ready to serve.Serve it in the breakfast with milk or after lunch and dinner.
