In a moderately heated pan add 1 tbsp oil, add Bengal gram Dal + Urad dal and sauté for a few seconds, then add fenugreek + coriander + hing + red chili and sauté for around 2 minutes and turns aromatic, switch off the flame and allow to cool.
After cooling grind it and make a pulp of tomatoes. - 3
In a moderately heated pan add oil, add mustard seeds + green chili and allow to sizzle, then add Bengal gram Dal + Urad dal + chopped onion + curry leaves and sauté till onion turns light golden brown.

Now add the tomato pulp + little water and cook for 2-3 minutes by adding salt + turmeric powder.

Now add the roasted masala powder + salt and mix well.

Add cooked rice and give a gentle mix, simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes till moisture evaporates from rice.
Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Dish is ready to serve. - 7
