Ingredients

  1. 4 cupsmustard leaves(greens)
  2. 1 cupspinach leaves
  3. 1/2 cupfresh coriander leaves
  4. 1 tbspoil
  5. 1 tbspgarlic finely chopped
  6. 1 tbspginger paste
  7. 1 tspcumin seeds
  8. 1 tspasafoetida
  9. 1 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1 tspred chili powder
  11. 1 tspcoriander powder
  12. 1 tbspmaize flour
  13. 1medium size onion
  14. 2 cupstomato puree
  15. 1 cubebutter
  16. as requiredSalt to taste

Cooking Instructions

    Blanch the mustard leaves, spinach leaves and coriander leaves. Pour in cold water and then puree it.

    Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let the crackle. Add asafoetida and add garlic, ginger paste and onion. Saute them well tillthey turn translucent.

    Now add tomato puree, all the spices and salt. Cook till oil seperates. Add maize flour and saute for another 2 minutes. Add pureed mustard leaves and cook for another 5 minutes.

    Top up with butter and serve with makke ki roti.
