Ingredients

40-45 minutes
2-4 people
  • For bathua poori-
  • 1 cupwheat flour
  • 100 gramfresh bathua
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1 tspazwain (crushed)
  • as per requirementWater for kneading
  • as per requirementOil for frying
  • For Aloo tamatar-
  • 2-3boiled aloo (potatoes)
  • 2-3tomatoes (boiled and churned)
  • 1/2 inchginger(grated)
  • 1-2green chilli (finely chopped)
  • Spices-
  • 1 tablespoondesi ghee
  • 1/2 tspheeng
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoondry coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoondry mango powder
  • as requiredSalt
  • 1/2 tspDry kasoori methi

Steps

40-45 minutes
  1. 1

    First wash bathua properly and boil for 3-4 minutes. Now strain it and keep aside. Now churn bathua in a mixture and add in wheat flour and make a soft dough with remaining ingredients. Rest it for 10 minutes.

    For aloo tamatar add ghee in a pan and add ginger,green chilli,tomatoes and all spices except kasoori methi and dry mango powder. Now crush potatoes with hand roughly and add with water. Cook with tomatoes ginger for couple of minutes and then add water and boil for 4-5 minutes.

    After that add dry mango powder and kasoori methi. Aloo tamatar sabzi is ready. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.

    For bathua poori heat oil in a kadai and make small balls of bathua atta and make dmall poori snd fry it in hot oil. Bathua poori is ready. Enjoy these poori with your loved one in chilling winters.
