Watercress is a powerhouse Vegetable that packs several nutrients that are essential to our body and is extremely low in Calories. These are called as Garden cress Seeds or Halim Seeds or Aliv Seeds. It contains a plethora of antioxidants that lowers the risks of a Heart disease and also many types of Cancer. It also has good source of Minerals that protect the bones and overall bone health.
It's suitable for all except those who have a risk of the accumulation of Kidney stones. Otherwise it's absolutely safe. Consumption of 1 teaspoon a day twice a Week is enough to make use of it's nutritional benefits.
This one here is a simple Halwa made by me with Jaggery. And done effortlessly without much hassles. It is basically a treasure house of health and well-being for all of us.

Kids can also enjoy it but those who are above 5 Years only and that's it. Younger children cannot consume it. It has an abundance of Vitamins. Cress is a tangy peppery Herb. It's used in Salads and Sandwiches. It can be easily grown with these Seeds. This tiny Herb is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids too.
This Halwa has to be eaten in small proportions and can be stored in the refrigerator for a Week.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
