This is a perfect winter breakfast loaded with fresh vegetables available during winter

First prepare idlis - for this, take idli batter in a bowl

Add salt, 1 pinch of baking powder and mix well

If required add water to adjust the consistency

Now fill the batter in idli moulds and steam for 15min on high flame

Turn off the flame and keep the streamer aside to cool

Meanwhile prepare sambar,for this,heat oil in a pan or kadhai

Add mustard seeds and cumin

Once it starts crackling add curry leaves,dry chillies, chopped onion

Saute for 1min now add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2min

Add all the dry spices,mix well

Now add all chopped and steamed vegetables (cut all vegetables in small pieces and steam for 5min)

Also add cooked dal,add 1 glass of hot water to make slurry consistency

Add jaggery and tamarind paste

Again cook for 5min, now turn off the flame, sprinkle finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot sambar with hot idlis
