‘Twas a cold, wet day with only a few spare vegetables in larder so this was made in the soupmaker in minutes, a drastically cutdown version of one of my regular soups. Adjust curry powder to suit your palate. #WasteNotWantNot

2parsnips, roughly diced
1onion, roughly chopped
1 stickcelery, roughly chopped
1potato, roughly diced
1 litrevegetable stock
2 tsphot madras curry powder
Salt (optional)

Put all ingredients except salt in soupmaker and press start button.

When done (usually around 22 minutes), taste and salt if required. Serve piping hot with your choice of bread.
