Steps

Wash fish pieces 🐠 and pat dry them on kitchen towel, keep aside.

Heat ghee, add mustard seeds when start to crackle, add garlic 🧄 saute till golden, add finely chopped onions 🧅, cook on low flame till onions 🧅 are golden brown, add curry leaves 🌱 and fry for a min.

Add kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and mix well, cook for 1 min, add a few drops of water 💦 to prevent the spices from burning, add blanched tomato puree 🍅, salt and bring to a boil, lower the heat and cover until the oil float on top, about 15 mins.

Add tamarind pulp, hot water 💦 and mix well, cook for 5 mins, add fish pieces 🐠, do not use spoon, it will break easy, bast the fish pieces 🐠 with gravy, cook for 8 mins or until fish pieces are tender and soft. The time will be depend on the thickness of the fish.

Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves 🌿, serve hot.
