Simple Potato Bread

I made these rolls with some hints from Irish soda bread. A lot of these recipes use eggs and taste more like muffins, but I don't like them so much, so I modified the recipe and made it like bread.
Since you'll be baking these rolls at a high temperature for a short time to give them a crispy outer layer, make sure to preheat your oven. For 8 rolls. Recipe by Nooko

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- 2
Mix the ★ instant mashed potatoes and boiled water well. (You can substitute with mashed potatoes 100 g + 1 tablespoon of milk.)
- 3
Add the remaining ingredients except for the topping in the order from the list to Step 2. Knead until the mixture becomes a soft earlobe-like consistency.
- 4
Divide the dough into 8 portions, and roll into balls. Dab on a bit of water and sprinkle the surfaces with oatmeal to your liking.
- 5
Reduce the oven temperature to 180°C, and bake for about 15 minutes until they become crispy and golden brown.
- 6
They're great when fresh out of the oven, so warm them up in a toaster oven when cooled. They'll become crispy and tasty again!
- 7
Variation 1: [Butter flavour] Add 1 tablespoon of butter instead of cheese.
- 8
Variation 2: Add 1 egg to make them even fluffier. Reduce the amount of water by 1 tablespoon.
- 9
Variation 3: [Kabocha squash] This is a variation by Cookpad user "Yosshi". She added kabocha squash flakes, butter, and poppy seeds.

This is my favorite bread that I've been making for many years. The dough is soft. Use 190 ml water and dust your workspace with a little flour if it's difficult to handle. I had a bunch of potatoes, so I added it to the batter to use it up.Mash the potatoes to a similar consistency as the bread dough so that it's easy to knead into it. You can use bread flour to sprinkle the dough, but you'll have a crispier finish if you use joshinko. I quartered 10 g of butter for the top and placed them on top before baking. Twisted Sweet Potato Bread Twisted Sweet Potato Bread
This is the sweet potato version of my soft twisted pumpkin bread. The filling is made with both sweet potato and cheese. I tried over and over to get this recipe right.Adjust the amount of water in the bread dough based on how watery the potatoes are. Since there's a lot of filling being used, don't twist the dough too much or the filling will squeeze out. The point is to twist them lightly and gently, and then tuck the ends underneath.
