Ingredients

90 min+marinate
4 servings
  • 800 gbeef
  • 2 tspmustard
  • Olive oil or regular
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • Rosemary branch (optional)
  • 4carrots
  • 1parsley root
  • 1onion
  • 250 mlred wine
  • 500 mlwater
  • 2bayleafs
  • 3dried plums
  • Chilli pepper (optional)
  • 1 tbstomato paste
  • 1 tsppaprika
  • Salt, pepper

Steps

90 min+marinate
  1. 1

    Before cooking marinate the meat for at least 1 hour or overnight, you can do it in the pot.
    Cut the beef into bite size pieces, add 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of mustard, rosemary and oil.

    Cook the meat in the marinade until it's browned.

  3. 3

    Remove the meat from the pot while leaving the liquids. Add the onion and garlic and saute them for a few minutes then add the root vegetables.

    After 10 minutes, add the water, wine, bayleafs, plums, and chilli.
    Return the meat.
    Cook on low heat for 60 min.

  5. 5

    Add the tomato paste, pepper, paprika and check for salt.
    Cook for an additional 5-10 min.

    Serve with pasta or bread.
