Steps

Take a deep bottom pan, add good amount of water, 1 tsp salt & oil, boil it. Strain soaked rice, add in the boiling water, cook it up to 90%. Turn off the flame. Strain it, keep it in a bowl.

For orange paste.....add all the ingredients in a mixer jar, in goes lil water, grind it to a fine paste, keep aside. Make the green paste in the same manner. Only add 2 ice cubes in place of water to retain green colour.

For orange rice....Take a wok or pan, add 1 tbsp oil, heat it. Add pinch of Rai, let it splutter. In goes 2 tbsp orange paste & lil salt, mix it well. Do not overcook it.

Now add 1 bowl cooked rice, mix it well. Stir fry it for 30 sec. Turn off the flame.

Take out in a dish or bowl, keep aside.

For green rice..... Take a pan or wok, add 1 tbsp oil, heat it. In goes 1/4 tsp zeera, let it splutter. Add 2 tbsp green paste & lil salt, mix it well.

Now add 1 bowl cooked rice, mix it well. Turn off the flame. Take out in a dish or bowl, keep aside.

For white rice....Take a wok or pan, add 1 tbsp oil, heat it. Add rest of the zeera, let it splutter. In goes ginger garlic, saute it until rawness is released.

Now add 1 bowl cooked rice, sprinkle lil salt, mix it well. Cook it for 30 sec. Turn off the flame, take out in a bowl or dish.

Take a white plate, arrange the rice in Tiranga manner, make Ashok Chakra with laung & sabit kali mirch...
