Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cut the tofu, pork belly and onion into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Stir fry the pork belly. Don't add too much cooking oil here; try to draw out the fat in the pork belly.
- 3
When the meat is cooked and the fat is coming out, add the onion and sauté together.
- 4
When the onion is cooked add the water, soy sauce, mirin, sugar and dashi powder. When it comes to a boil add the tofu.
- 5
When it comes to a boil again, simmer for 1 minute, then it's done. If you let it cool down once and then reheat it, the flavors will be absorbed into the ingredients and the dish will taste even better.
