Ingredients

  • 2 cupswhite maize flour
  • 1/2 cupwheat flour
  • 3 tspjaggery
  • 3 tbspcurd
  • 1/2 cupchopped methi
  • Coriander
  • 3 tspchilli garlic and ginger paste
  • 3 tspsesame
  • Salt to test
  • 1/2 tspchilli powder (optional)
  • 3/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tbspoil
  • Asafoetida
  • Oil for frying
  • 4 tspsesame seeds for sticking on vada

    Firstly mix the flours in a bowl. Add Jaggery and curd. Mix well. Cover and give rest to 5_6 hours. After resting add all spices. Peste.methi coriander. Oil and start binding the dough with the help of water little by little.

    Dough should be soft like chapati dough. Make a small balls. Flatten in palm and apply sesame seeds on it. Heat the oil fry all vadas on medium to slow flame.
