  8. 4 hamburger bunsColeslaw, tomato slices, and tartar sauce for topping

Cooking Instructions

30 Minutes
  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish:

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge each fillet in flour to coat lightly.

  2. 2

    Make the Beer Batter:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the egg and beer, and whisk until you have a smooth batter.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil:

Fill a large, deep pan with about 2 inches of grapeseed oil. Heat the oil to 350°F

  4. 4

    Dip and Fry:

Dip each floured fish fillet into the beer batter, coating it evenly. Carefully place the battered fillets into the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Ensure the fish is cooked through.

  5. 5

    Drain and Rest:

Place the fried fish on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Let them rest for a minute.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich:

Toast the hamburger buns. Spread tartar sauce on the bottom bun, place a beer-battered fish fillet on top, and add lettuce and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

  7. 7

Enjoy your homemade beer-battered fish sandwich! Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings and sauces.
