Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Fish:
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge each fillet in flour to coat lightly.
- 2
Make the Beer Batter:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the egg and beer, and whisk until you have a smooth batter.
- 3
Heat the Oil:
Fill a large, deep pan with about 2 inches of grapeseed oil. Heat the oil to 350°F
- 4
Dip and Fry:
Dip each floured fish fillet into the beer batter, coating it evenly. Carefully place the battered fillets into the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Ensure the fish is cooked through.
- 5
Drain and Rest:
Place the fried fish on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Let them rest for a minute.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich:
Toast the hamburger buns. Spread tartar sauce on the bottom bun, place a beer-battered fish fillet on top, and add lettuce and tomato slices. Top with the other half of the bun.

Enjoy your homemade beer-battered fish sandwich! Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings and sauces.

Beer battered onion rings Beer battered onion rings
I love onion rings, but I love it more when I could make it myself at home, it’s more tasty, crunchy. The secret of crispy and puffy of my onion rings is that I’m using beer in to my batter. If you are non alcohol person, you can substitute with soda water. If you want a super tasty onion rings don’t skip the seasonings and don’t forget the herbs, that’s the key! Reny Turner
