Thandai is a traditional Indian drink, particularly popular during the festival of Holi and also during the summer months.

Prepare spice mix,Grind together all ingredients and make fine powder. Transfer the spice mix to a large bowl and add 1/4 cup sugar. Mix well.

Slowly pour in 4 cups of chilled milk while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.Strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any coarse particles.

Chill the Thandai in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Serve cold, optionally garnished with saffron strands,rose petals or a splash of rose water. Enjoy your refreshing Thandai!
