Cooking Instructions

Place the glass noodles in a tray and soak them in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Then, cut them in half.

Add sesame oil to a frying pan and quickly sauté the ground meat with salt and pepper.

Add the julienned carrot and sliced onion, and sauté until everything is tender.

Add the chives cut into appropriate sizes and the glass noodles, and continue to sauté.

Add the mixed seasonings and sauté further.

Serve on a plate and sprinkle with white sesame seeds to finish.

I like the Moranbong brand Japchae seasoning so I tried to recreate my own mix following the ingredients list on the back of the package.It is a little different from the authentic ones but you can still enjoy nice Korean taste with rice.Why not add onions, green vegetables like garlic chives or bok-choy or shitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms or wood ear mushrooms?It is better to add the green vegetables like garlic chives at the finishing stage Step 4.
