Surprisingly Easy! Homemade Anmitsu

How about making anmitsu at home with your choice of toppings? Making agar is surprisingly easy! It's also a great snack for those on a diet.

The backstory of this recipe
I’m not a big fan of the beans in mamekan. I don’t need canned fruit in store-bought anmitsu. I just want to eat it the way I like, so I decided to make agar. I always have sweet red bean paste on hand, and I can make black syrup in the microwave. If I can manage to make the shiratama dumplings... it’ll be perfect!

  3. 3

Lightly wet a mold with water and pour in the agar mixture. (I used a 6x6 inch square mold, but a milk carton works too.)
