Ingredients

  • 2 cupsWhole wheat flour
  • 1 TeaspoonSalt
  • 1/2 TeaspoonGinger Garlic Paste
  • 100 grams (crumbled)Paneer
  • 1/2 TeaspoonAsafoetida
  • 1/4 TeaspoonPepper
  • 1/4 TeaspoonChilli Powder
  • 1/4 TeaspoonTurmeric Powder
  • 1/4 TeaspoonCoriander Powder
  • leavesFinely Chopped Coriander
  • Oil – As per your need
  • Water – As per your need

    In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.

    In another bowl, mix together the crumbled paneer, chopped onion, green chilies, coriander leaves, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.

    Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and roll each portion into a small ball.

  4. 4

    Take one dough ball and flatten it slightly with your palms. Dust it with some flour and roll it out into a small circle (about 4-5 inches in diameter).

    Place a spoonful of the paneer mixture in the center of the rolled-out dough circle.

  6. 6

    Gather the edges of the dough to enclose the filling and pinch to seal it. Flatten the stuffed dough ball gently.

  7. 7

    Dust the stuffed dough ball with flour and roll it out carefully into a paratha (flatbread) of desired thickness, making sure the filling doesn't spill out.

  8. 8

    Heat a tawa (griddle) or a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the rolled-out paratha on the tawa.

  9. 9

    Cook the paratha for about 1-2 minutes on one side until you see bubbles forming. Flip it over and cook the other side.

  10. 10

    Apply some ghee or oil on both sides of the paratha and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides.

  11. 11

    Repeat the process with the remaining dough and filling to make more parathas.

  12. 12

    Serve hot paneer parathas with yogurt, pickle, or any chutney of your choice. Enjoy your delicious homemade paneer parathas!
