Baked turkey drumstick - just let them cook!

Often when I go food shopping, I come back with something totally different from what I intended to buy. The other day I went to my local butchers to buy some beef, and ended up also buying 2 turkey legs. I asked my butcher to debone them, thinking to make a curry or rice, but he explained that the drumsticks are difficult to debone due to the ligaments. So we left them whole, and today I put them in the oven with some cherry tomatoes, an onion, some garlic cloves, salt, pepper and herbs.... and a slow roast did the rest. I left them in the oven for over 2 hours because I wasn't in a rush and was working while they cooked slowly, but you could do them in an hour on a higher heat.

Steps
- 1
Heat the oven to 190º. Chop the onions, cut the potato into wedges and put all the ingredients into one oven dish. Add salt, pepper and herbs, and finally drizzle with plenty of olive oil. Put into the oven and leave for a couple of hours. After one hour, turn the drumsticks over so that they cook evenly on both sides. I turned down to 170º for the last half hour.
- 2
Take out of the oven and leave to rest while you prepare your salad or vegetable. I steamed some broccoli. Delicious!!
