Lakadong Turmeric is a super beneficial one with the highest percentage of Curcumin in it. Due to it's high Curcumin content and antioxidant properties, it is not only the best Turmeric for face and skin but for the overall health due to the benefits it has to offer. It has anti inflammatory properties that help prevent Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid conditions. Of the 11 districts of Meghalaya State, Lakadong grows in a small region in Jaintia Hills. Compared to the other varieties of Turmeric, it has almost as high as upto 8% of Curcumin. That's the reason why this is super beneficial to the body. It can be used in daily cooking. Stews, Salads, Soups, Curries, Gravies, Pulav etc are a few dishes that can be made. It can be used for many a different recipes and amazing dishes.
In these particular recipe of crisp Onion Fritters, I have used Lakadong Turmeric for a healthy and a wholesome snack for the evening Tea. It's absolutely perfect accompaniment for Tea-time or Shaam ki Chai with your families. These Yellow coloured beautiful looking crisp Fritters are a great option for a good Snacking time. I had chosen Onions this time but many variations of Pakoras or Fritters Drumstick can be made and relished.

Make a thick batter with all the ingredients mentioned. Use of water depends on the quality of the flour used. Make sure you mix it with your hands. Wash your hands thoroughly before doing so. Keep aside for 15 minutes.

Drop small balls in hot oil as we do for the pakoras or fritters. Fry few at a time. Use a clean spoon if you cannot do it with your hands. Stay safe while frying. Fry until golden brown and crisp. Take care not to burn them. Keep an eye while frying. Keep turning at regular intervals to ensure that they are evenly cooked.
