  3. 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic-green chili paste
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger, julienned
  5. 2 bay leaves
  6. 2 tablespoons thick yogurt
  7. 2 tomatoes, sliced
  8. 1 black cardamom
  9. 2green cardamoms
  10. 8 black peppercorns
  11. 4 cloves
  12. 1-inch piece of cinnamon
  13. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  14. 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  15. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  16. 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  17. 4 whole dried red chilies
  18. 1 tablespoon cilantro, finely chopped
  19. 1 teaspoon salt
  20. 1 cup oil

    Gather all the ingredients. Wash the chicken thoroughly. Make a paste of ginger, garlic, and green chili. Slice the onions.

    Place a pan on the stove and add oil. Once hot, add the whole spices. Then add the sliced onions and break the whole red chilies into the pan. Once the onions turn light golden, add the chicken. Sauté everything for 2 to 3 minutes.

    Add all the powdered spices and salt, then add the ginger-garlic-green chili paste. Mix it into the chicken while stirring. Now add the sliced tomatoes. Sauté until the tomatoes become soft.

    Once the tomatoes are soft, add the yogurt and cook until the yogurt's water dries up. When the yogurt's water has evaporated and the oil starts to separate from the chicken, add 1 small cup of water. Cover and cook on low heat for 5 to 7 minutes.

    Check and remove the lid. Cook on high heat for 5 minutes, then turn off the stove. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and julienned ginger, and serve. The delicious chicken stew is ready. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve.
