Ingredients

30 mins
3 rolls
  1. Marinade
  2. 9medium-sized shrimp peeled and deveined
  3. 1/8 tspbaking soda
  4. 1/8 tspsesame oil
  5. 1/8 tspsalt
  6. roll batter
  7. 40 grice flour
  8. 30 gpotato starch
  9. 10 gtapioca starch
  10. 300 mlwater
  11. 1 tspcanola or veg oil
  12. 1/2 tspsalt
  13. sauce
  14. 1/4 cupwater
  15. 1.5 tbsplight soy sauce
  16. 1 tspsugar
  17. 1/2 tspoyster sauce
  18. 1/4 tspginger
  19. Other
  20. Spray oil
  21. ginger and Spring Onions

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the Marinade in a small bowl and put in the Shrimps cover and leave while making the batter.

    For Batter mix all dry ingredients and then mix in the water and oil. You will have quite a thin batter. Perfect.

    Put the shrimp onto a plate and place in steamer for about 2-3 mins. they need to be JUST cooked slightly opaque. remove plate / cover and allow to cool.

    Put a tray into the steamer and heat for about 2-3 mins. Lightly spray with oil (or can use a brush) Then laddle enough batter into bottom to just coat. You want very thin - I pick up the steamer with some over mits and slightly move around. cover and Steam for 3 mins until opaque. Remove tray.

    Then add 3 prawns into the middle and using a spratula fold over the edges. I made 3 Pancakes repeating this step.

    The Make sauce combine all and warm in a small pan - or heat in microwave for 30 seconds.

    Put all rolls onto one plate and re steam for 1 min untl hot, add sauce and garnish then serve imediately - AMAZING :) Enjoy :)

Well I started with Cookpad during Covid....... Guess alot of us did, Amazing Site great to share with passitionate people. I have no formal training but have eaten in some of the best fine dinning restraunts in the world and also learnt from My mum and Grandma with "a pinch of" and "about a handfull" - if we share we love. ENJOY :P
