Peel the mangoes.Cut into half and discard the seeds.Cut them into long and thin slices.Heat 1 tsp refined oil in a wok and lightly fry the minced garlic. Set aside.

Boil 1/3 cup water in a wok.Add sugar and boil till it melts.Now add the sliced mangoes along with turmeric and Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder, lightly fried garlic, garlic paste and few cardamom pods. Cook over low to medium flame for 4-5 minutes or until the syrup turns thick.Add chilli flakes and vinegar and cook for 10 minutes.Stir to mix well.

Turn off flame and allow mixture to cool at room temperature. Sprinkle raisins and toss.The pickle will get thicker as it cools. Hot and Sweet Mango Slice is ready.Transfer the content to a sterilized bottle and refrigerate. Serve chilled with any of your main meals.
