First, wash the betel leaves (nagarvel) with water and remove the thick veins if any. Wash the water apples with water, dry them, and then grate them using a grater.

Add washed, cleaned, and chopped mint leaves, gulakand (rose petal preserve), small pieces of dried ambla (khara ambala), roasted fennel seeds, sesame seeds mouth freshener (mukwas), and sugar. Mix everything well.

Now, take a betel leaf, place the prepared masala mixture on it, and gently fold the leaf into a triangular shape (beeda). Secure it with a toothpick. Repeat this process with the remaining betel leaves and masala mixture, making beedas as needed. Serve immediately.
