Ingredients

  • Tofu curds (or use curdled soy milk)
  • Tomatoes
  • Vegetarian fish sauce, vegetarian seasoning powder
  • 1little fermented bean curd (chao)
  • Herbs for garnish (cilantro, perilla, etc.)

Steps

  1. 1

    Sauté the tomatoes until very soft.

  2. 2

    Add the tofu curds (including any liquid) and cook together. Season with vegetarian fish sauce, vegetarian seasoning powder, and mashed fermented bean curd. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes, then add enough broth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 3

    To serve, place cooked rice vermicelli in a bowl, ladle the broth over, and top with fresh herbs.
