Mango Kozhukattai With Left Over Rice

#JFB I had some mangoes and left over rice at home- and instead of making the usual, I felt like trying something more colourful and flavourful this time.

Steps

Add water to a kadai and bring it to a boil. Add mango pulp and stir it till it blends well.

Add jaggery powder and cardamon powder and mix it well till the jaggery disolves.

Add a teaspoon of ghee and give it a good mix

Add mashed and cooked rice along with rice flour in batches for 3-4 minutes.

Turn off the flame and after the mixture cools knead it into a soft dough.

Mould it as per your choice. I have used a modak mould.

Place it in idli steamer and steam it for 7-8 minutes

Serve and enjoy.
