Crush ginger and garlic and add kashmiri red chili powder and mix it. Add some water in it and make paste. Don't use mixer.

Take a kadai. Add oil. When oil gets heated add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chilli and asafoetida. Then add ginger garlic and kashmiri red chilli powder paste and saute.

Now add chopped tomatoes and mix it. When tomatoes get soften add water in it and make to a boil. Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder and mix well.

Now add salt and fresh coriander leaves and bring to a boil. Then add yellow sev and serve hot immediately. Don't wait too long after adding sev to curry.
