First, sift the gram flour. add hot milk and ghee into coarse flour. mix it with two palms, cover it and keep aside for 10 minutes. This process is called dhabo.

Now take enough water in a pan to submerge the sugar and put it on the gas to make a syrup. When the syrup thickens a little, add saffron and cardamom to it. When the syrup becomes one and a half strings thick, turn off the gas. Keep it aside.

Now sift the flour that has been dhabo. Heat ghee in a pan, add flour to it and roast it. When you get a smell of roasting and the colour of the flour changes, turn off the flame.

After 2 to 3 minutes, add syrup to the roasted flour and mix it. Then turn on the gas. Now add malai instead of milk and stir it. Mix for 1 minute, turn off the gas and take it down.

Stir continuously for 2 minutes in kadai as it. When the mixture starts to thicken a little, pour it into a vessel greased with ghee. Immediately sprinkle chopped dry nuts and poppy seeds on it.

In 15 minutes (or even less) your Mohan Thali is ready to be sliced. Try this very simple and soft Mohanthal once.
