Ingredients

  1. 1 (29 oz)can crushed tomatoes
  2. 2Large Cans (29 oz) of Contadina Tomato Sauce (use this sauce cause it is made with Roma Tomatoes which make for a sweeter taste)
  3. 1 Can (6 oz)Contadina Tomato Paste
  4. 1 1/2 CupParmesan Cheese
  5. 3 TBSPItalian Seasoning
  6. 1 tspblack pepper
  7. 4 tbspolive oil
  8. 1Medium Sized Sweet Onion finely Chopped
  9. 1large green pepper, finely chopped
  10. 3 tbspminced garlic

Steps

  1. 1

    Saute Onion in skillet with olive oil until translucent

  2. 2

    Add in garlic to onions for last 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant. Put mixture in crock pot. Make sure to get as much oil as possible.

  3. 3

    Add in tomatoe sauce, crushed Tomatoes, Tomatoe Paste, Italuan Seasoning, Black Pepper, Green Peppers, and Parmesan.

  4. 4

    Turn crock pot to high, stir thoroughly, then cover. Cook for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally (the more you stir the better).

Tips

Add in browned meat, meatballs, Italian sausage, or just use as a marinara sauce.
